evatic_empda Evatic AS is very proud to launch our completely new version of Evatic Mobile PDA. This new release includes a wide range of additional features in direct response to requests from our customer base. Built upon the latest development platform, this has enabled us to implement new features and updates much faster than ever before.

Checklists

With the advanced checklist generator included in the central Evatic Service system, it is now possible to create your own adapted checklist for use in Evatic Mobile PDA. There is a wide selection of field types with the option to make fields mandatory. This ensures that the collected data is consistent and of good quality. In Evatic Mobile PDA the technician can even see historical values from earlier checklists. The values from the checklists can be presented in an adapted report and then be used, for example, in certification and documentation.

Documentation

Now the technician can quickly and easily add documents to the work being done for each task without leaving the Evatic Mobile PDA application. With the built-in camera functionality of the PDA*, the technician can take photographs and simply import them into Evatic Mobile PDA, directly linked to the appropriate service task. This new function in Evatic Mobile PDA also enables the technician to attach other document types, generated by or stored within the PDA. Evatic Mobile PDA supports all standard Windows Mobile file types (e.g. PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Work anywhere, anytime

The built in control routines in Evatic Mobile PDA ensure that updated data will always be stored and transmitted safely. This also enables Evatic Mobile PDA to function in situations where there is no data coverage. Providing the task has been received in Evatic Mobile PDA, the technician can continue to work and complete it. The data will be transmitted back as soon as the data connection is restored.

New task creation

In the new Evatic Mobile PDA, the technician has the ability to create new tasks directly on the PDA. By using the same functions that you find in Evatic Service, the technician can create the task and assign it to himself, another technician or choose not to assign at all.

As an additional function the new Mobile PDA Planner function is now launched. This function allows the user to use his PDA to get an overview over unassigned tasks. With the help of the built-in calendar the user can plan the tasks and check the availability of the technicians whilst out of the office.

Navigation

You can now easily use the built in GPS on your Windows Mobile PDA** and navigate your way to the customer. With the help of TomTom Navigator 6 and the address or the coordinates stored on the task you will safely be guided to your destination. When you arrive you close the TomTom Navigator 6 application and continue your work in Evatic Mobile PDA.
